ISEPIC extension was not only very famous at that time, but also infamous.
Even if the operation was a little bit clumsy, even a layman could make “backup copies”. At least as long as it wasn’t programs or games that had to reload from floppy or cassette.
Because of the simplicity, and that now virtually anyone could make copies of games, the cartridge was not only very unpopular with the program developers and companies, but also in the cracker scene.
The expansion was quickly taken off the market by industry pressure, but was still quite widespread at the time.
So I thought it was time to get this cartridge as well. Therefore I created a schematic by reverse enegeeniering.
From this I developed a new board, but I adapted the board so that it now fits into a standard cartridge housing.
Only commercially available components are used. I have listed the brands only as an example. However, otherwise comparable components can also be used.
